MyLocalTrade Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of MyLocalTrade (the "Service"), operated by Quick Pages Proprietary Limited ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using MyLocalTrade, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What MyLocalTrade Is

MyLocalTrade is an online business directory that helps people discover local trade and service businesses by category and location.

MyLocalTrade:

  • is a discovery platform only
  • does not provide trade or professional services
  • is not a party to any agreement between a business and a customer

2. Ownership and Relationship to Quick Pages

MyLocalTrade is owned and operated by Quick Pages Proprietary Limited.

MyLocalTrade may promote or integrate with other Quick Pages services. Use of those services may be subject to separate terms.

3. Listings and How They Are Created

Listings on MyLocalTrade may be created:

  • automatically using AI
  • based on publicly available information from websites, business profiles, and other public sources

A listing may exist even if the business has not created an account or interacted with MyLocalTrade.

The existence of a listing does not imply any relationship, endorsement, approval, or partnership with the listed business.

4. Accuracy of Listings

Unclaimed listings may contain incomplete or inaccurate information.

Accuracy is not guaranteed until:

  • a business claims the listing, and
  • submitted changes are reviewed and approved

5. Claiming a Listing

Businesses may claim an existing listing by creating an account and completing the verification process.

Claiming a listing requires:

  • registration of an account
  • verification via an email sent to the business email address shown on the listing

By claiming a listing, you confirm that:

  • you are the business owner or authorised to act on its behalf
  • all submitted information is accurate and lawful

We may refuse or revoke a claim if ownership cannot be verified or if a claim is disputed.

6. Accounts

To claim or manage a listing, you must create an account using:

  • name
  • email address
  • password

You are responsible for:

  • securing your account credentials
  • all activity under your account
  • keeping your information up to date

7. Editing Listings and Review Process

Once claimed, businesses may edit their listing details.

All edits are:

  • submitted for manual review
  • compared against the previously approved version

While edits are under review:

  • the existing approved listing remains publicly visible

Reviews are typically completed within two to five business days.

Approval decisions are discretionary and final, but rejected changes may be revised and resubmitted.

8. Removal of Listings

If a business does not wish to be listed, removal may be requested by:

  • claiming the listing and deleting it, or
  • emailing support@quickpages.com.au from the business email address shown on the listing

If an account is deleted, the business may choose whether the listing is:

  • deleted entirely, or
  • reverted to an unclaimed listing

9. Business Responsibility and No Endorsement

MyLocalTrade does not:

  • verify licences, insurance, or qualifications
  • endorse any business
  • guarantee availability, suitability, or service quality

Visitors must conduct their own checks before engaging a business.

10. Contact Between Visitors and Businesses

MyLocalTrade may display contact information for businesses.

All communication and agreements are strictly between the Visitor and the Business. We do not guarantee enquiries, leads, or outcomes.

11. Moderation and Removal Rights

We reserve the right to:

  • approve, reject, modify, hide, or remove listings
  • suspend or restrict accounts

This includes situations where a listing:

  • is misleading or inaccurate
  • is no longer operating
  • creates legal, reputational, or operational risk

12. Search, Ranking, and Display

We may change how listings are:

  • ranked
  • displayed
  • filtered

at any time, without notice. No placement or visibility is guaranteed.

13. AI and Automated Access

MyLocalTrade allows automated systems, including AI tools, to access listing data.

Where listing data is used by automated systems, attribution and direct linking back to the specific listing is expected, though not actively enforced.

14. Analytics and Cookies

MyLocalTrade uses analytics and UX tools, including:

  • Google Analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity

Cookies, IP addresses, and usage data may be collected to improve the Service. Further detail is covered in the Privacy Policy.

15. Free Service and Future Features

All current MyLocalTrade features are free for legitimate businesses.

We may introduce optional paid features in the future. Free access to existing features is not guaranteed indefinitely.

16. Intellectual Property

The MyLocalTrade platform, branding, and structure are owned by Quick Pages Proprietary Limited.

By submitting listing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and promote that content as part of the Service.

17. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or outcomes
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss

Nothing in these Terms limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.

18. Indemnity

Businesses agree to indemnify Quick Pages Proprietary Limited against claims arising from:

  • their listing content
  • their services
  • breaches of these Terms or applicable law

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
